Girls, Girls, Girls!!!

What a better to kick off than with a set of Girls tshirts.

Kinky Girls seem to be one of the most popular theme when it comes to designing hip tees.
Almost every known-to-me brand has some, starting with mass producers like the Inditex Group (Zara, Pull&Bear etc.) or Bestseller (Jack&Jones) and finishing with some niche companies like Tits (great name by the way, even better without the abbreviation ;> ), Howe or Dissizit.

When it comes to presenting the Ladies on the tee, we can distinguish:
  • oversized framed photos (B/W & colour),
  • regular photos with some typography,
  • monochrome silhuettes etc.
My favoutite is (quite obviously) Number 1, the tee comes from Tits company. Grrreat Work, Guys!!

This set is probably just one of many sets, since there is still plenty of them to show.

Most of the pictures taken from 80s Purple online shop.

The "&" Tees

Some time ago I ran across a tee saying "john & paul & george & ringo".

I must admit that for some time i actually considered the idea to be quite good and funny (also a great way to omit the licence-based troubles). Then I ran across a similar tee with Spok and the rest of the crew from Star Trek and the Obama family members and some others, as well.

Some time later I found this article:

http://www.experimentaljetset.nl/archive/t-shirtism.html

Just check it out, it covers the whole story of the idea. REALLY INTERESTING.

This is a screenshot of the article - just as a teaser for reading:

This shows how a really good idea can be quite easily turned into a view that one can get sick of..

SuperDry

I must begin this post with "I just fucken' love SuperDry!".

Their consistency in printing development direction, as well as the vintage quality of the printing and the tee itself makes the company one of my personal favourites.

Misc. Oversized Printings

Just some of the "as big as is gets" printings.

Personally, I kinda like'em, as long as the are not to "direct".

e.g. The first is not exactly my style, whereas no.4 is my personal favourite (due to that censored-like black rectanglular shape and the fact that only half of the face fits in the front panel of the tee).
